Responsible for developing and executing the global commercial marketing strategy for the Life Sciences Equipment and Service business. These responsibilities include gathering Customer, competitor and market intelligence; pricing, marketing communications, industry leadership, Customer consultation and support, product management, and new product development. In collaboration with sales, manufacturing, operations, product development, and other functions, the Vice President drives the market intelligence processes that identify trends that indicate the need for new or changing products and services.
Develop and execute the strategic commercial marketing plan in support of the overall Equipment and Service strategy, optimizing the development of products and services.
Utilizing market and Customer knowledge, lead a team of R&D experts to develop/modify new or existing products. Work cross-functionally as needed to develop and bring new products/services to market.
Lead the Life Sciences Equipment and Services marketing team, including Director and Product Manager levels. Manage the day to day activities of the department including but not limited to: performance management, goal setting, career development, hiring/firing, etc.
Co-lead the Marketing Communication team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies across multiple communication channels such as trade shows, marketing collateral and electronic media such as Twitter, YouTube etc. Ensure compliance of marketing materials with regulatory requirements. Drive consistency of message across the business segment and integrate this within STERIS Life Sciences.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business
Master's Degree in Marketing or Business
Work Experience Requirements
MBA or equivalent preferred; Bachelor s degree in marketing, business, engineering or a related field required.
15+ years of progressive experience in product management, marketing or business development, with prior experience within Life Sciences or related industry
10+ years of direct management experience.
Prior experience in Life Sciences or related industry, along with direct Customer facing experience and a record of proven success in marketing of related products/or services are preferred.
Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns utilizing all relevant channels and media; and aligning marketing strategy with business goals.
Experience analyzing market/industry data including competitive intelligence to support new offering introductions and the development of marketing campaigns.
