The Montana Department of Revenue administers approximately 40 state taxes, property appraisals, liquor laws, and unclaimed property for the State of Montana. DUTIES A Property Valuation Specialist II (PVS) coordinates and performs a range of specialized property appraisal and assessment support services to facilitate data research, verification, computation, and processing procedures; provides general office and program support services; researches and compiles general program information; ensures consistent messaging on policies, procedures, and statutes; and coordinates with other program staff and managers as necessary to respond to unusual or specialized requests. * This is an incomplete list of job duties. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE The above competencies are typically acquired through: * Graduation from high school or GED and; * Three years of job-related experience. Experience should include customer service in an office setting, clerical work, basic bookkeeping, appraisal, assessment, working with technical documents and processes, and/or records management. * Experience in a real estate related area; mapping; reading legal descriptions; GIS, SCS, or NRCS skills are preferred. Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis. It is important that all previous work experience is listed.
